Hi, I’m Emma and welcome to Baby Gear Guide!

I am a mother to 4 kids – a 6 year old boy, a 4 year old girl, and 18 month old fraternal twins. The past 6 years has been a roller coaster ride for my husband and I but we wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

When we found out we were pregnant with our first born, we knew our lives would change forever. We knew it would be hard but we were ready to start a family. What I didn’t expect was what I thought would be the easiest and most fun part, would be one of the most stressful, exhausting, and perhaps financially draining part of expecting a baby. Want to take a guess what it is? Shopping!

You see, the moment the stick turned blue, I already started shopping for baby stuff. I know it sounds a little crazy but I was just so excited! Since I had no idea what the sex of my baby was yet, I stuck to neutral colours – greens, light browns, yellows, etc. Onesies and beddings were easy. What was hard was when it was time to buy baby gear! There were just too many choices and I couldn’t make up my mind! Needless to say, we ended up with a bunch of stuff being returned when my baby was born and a couple of others we kept but didn’t use until he was 9 months old.

It was easier when my daughter was born but it was a different story when I had the twins. Everything I thought I knew about baby stuff was quickly thrown out the window! Who knew were a different set of specifics for twins? Certainly not me!

Fast forward to today, things have winded down a bit and has gotten a lot easier. While I’m still very busy with being a stay at home mom to 4 kids, I wanted to do something to make shopping for baby gear easier for would-be parents out there and here we are!

What Can You Expect from Baby Gear Guide?

This site is the fruit of all my hard work shopping for stuff for my kids. Yes, believe it or not it really is hard work! You cannot imagine how many carriers, buggies, highchairs, and whatnots we’ve bought and returned or given away over the years.

While I’m still making mistakes in my purchases (what with all the new things coming out these days), I’ve bought enough stuff to be able to make solid, non-biased reviews on baby gear.

To save all of you new and not-so-new parents out there from all the trouble (and wasted money), my website is at your service!

Don’t worry, you’ll find more than just reviews here. I will also post buying guides for most, if not all of the baby gear you will be needing as well as tips and tricks on how you can make the most out of them.

Be sure to visit regularly to see what’s new in the market and how it ranks in this mum’s book!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy reading through BabyGearGuide.co.uk!
